an endless dance
through spiraling snow drops
a cherry blossom stuck to your damp cheek
the frost on your chin
my favorite winter chill
we dance
and dance
and dance

a prayer
may the forest swallow me, reclaim my body on behalf of the earth. may my hair become ferns / may orchids grow at my ankles and bloom in every in color / may creeping vines encircle my fingers, the forest my betrothed / may the tiny denizens of the leaves find shelter in my ear canals, may the sunken vestiges of my eyes feed the hungry in sips and sups / may i become what i once was, dust and nothing more, no regrets, no lost love, no life wasted to the benefit of anyone but myself / may i become the forest that swallows me and the beauty that grows from everything i hid inside
